1. Contractual Relationship
Bikedom is operated by Skeelr LTD. The platform acts exclusively as an intermediary to connect electric bike owners (Hosts) and renters (Riders). The rental agreement is signed directly between the Rider and the Owner.
2. Mandatory Helmet Policy
For safety reasons and in compliance with Bikedom policy, every published eBike listing must include a certified safety helmet. The Rider agrees to wear the helmet at all times during the rental period. Bikedom assumes no liability for accidents resulting from failure to wear safety equipment.
3. Rental Duration and Stripe Policy Limits
The maximum duration for any single rental booking made through the platform is 7 days. This limit is strict and is designed to comply with Stripe pre-authorization security hold limits.
4. Security Deposits and Extra Charges
A temporary holding charge (hold) will be placed on the Rider's card for the security deposit during checkout. If issues are reported during the digital Check-out, the following automatic partial captures will apply: (a) A flat €10.00 fee if the bike is returned dirty. (b) A €10.00 fee for every hour of delay relative to the agreed return time limit.
5. Appropriate Vehicle Conduct & Cancellations
Both Riders and Owners must fill out Check-in and Check-out inspections at the start and end of the rental. Cancellations are subject to the timelines configured in the user dashboard to guarantee successful deposit release.
Thank you for using Skeelr.
